Key Responsibilities: System Administration: Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers, ensuring optimal performance and availability. Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to improve efficiency. Perform regular system updates, patches, and security configurations. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls. Veeam Backup Administration: Design, implement, and manage Veeam Backup solutions to ensure data integrity and availability. Perform regular backups, restores, and disaster recovery testing. Monitor backup jobs and troubleshoot any failures or issues. Maintain documentation of backup configurations, processes, and procedures. Network Management: Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls. Ensure network security and monitor for potential threats or vulnerabilities. Implement and manage VPNs and other remote access solutions. Support and Troubleshooting: Provide technical support to end-users and resolve hardware, software, and network issues. Respond to and resolve IT service requests and incidents promptly. Collaborate with other IT team members to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. Documentation and Compliance: Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures. Ensure compliance with IT policies, standards, and regulations. Assist with audits and assessments of IT infrastructure and processes. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Proven experience as a System Administrator, with a focus on Veeam Backup administration. Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems. Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V. Solid understanding of networking principles and technologies. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation tasks. Familiarity with IT security practices and principles. Desired Skills: Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE) certification is highly desirable. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and hybrid environments. Knowledge of storage solutions and best practices for data management. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
