Software Tester- Banking Domain

We are looking for a skilled Manual Tester with 1-3 years of experience in software testing. The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of SDLC and STLC, and hands-on experience in test case creation, execution, and defect tracking.

Software Tester Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Analyze requirements and prepare test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
  • Execute test cases manually and document results.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.).
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and UI testing.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure quality.

  • Report test progress, defects, and status updates to the QA lead.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices
  • Perform exploratory testing to identify edge cases and unexpected behaviors.
  • Verify fixes and conduct re-testing before releases.

    • Software Tester Required Skills:
  • Testing Knowledge: Strong understanding of manual testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Defect Tracking Tools: Experience with JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar tools.
  • Test Case Design: Ability to create detailed test cases based on requirements.
  • SQL: Basic knowledge of SQL queries for database validation.
  • API Testing: Experience with Postman or similar tools (optional but preferred).
  • Agile & SDLC/STLC: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and the software development life cycle.
  • Good Communication: Ability to effectively communicate defects and test results to the team.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Preferred Skills (Good to Have):
  • Experience in mobile application testing.
  • Basic knowledge of automation testing (Selenium, etc.)
  • Familiarity with performance and security testing concepts.
