Channel Sales Representive

A channel sales job involves developing and maintaining relationships with channel partners to promote and sell products or services. Channel partners can include distributors, resellers, dealers, wholesalers, and other third-party organizations that help in reaching customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, recruit, and onboard new channel partners in alignment with the company sales strategy and target markets.
  • Build strong relationships with existing channel partners, providing them with ongoing support, training, and resources to drive sales growth.
  • Collaborate with channel partners to develop and execute joint business plans and marketing campaigns to promote the company products or services.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new sales opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) for revenue, market share, and profitability.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reports to management.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with channel partners to assess performance, address concerns, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and product knowledge to effectively communicate the value proposition and competitive advantages of the company offerings.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams such as marketing, product management, and customer support to ensure channel partner needs are met.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to expand the network of channel partners and generate leads.
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven track record in channel sales, preferably in a similar industry or market.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and motivate partners.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and competitive intelligence.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tools for pipeline management and reporting.
  • Willingness to travel to meet with channel partners, attend industry events, and support business needs.
